SGM Warwick 2012- 'by hook or crook'

The group was a large presence at the recent Warwick SGM meeting with four posters in the general sessions, and an invited paper in the BBSRC sponsored Designer microbes session by Dr Matt Hicks.

Posters were presented by Dr Jennie Parker (Wellcome grant with Jon Shaw), Dr Chat Phansopa (DMT- GPS) and Dr Prachi Stafford (DMT with Dan Lambert), all of which contained the latest unpublished data in a number of areas of collaborative research.  In addition a special mention goes to Rebecca Lowry as this was her first conference and poster presentation at a national meeting.  All pictured here during poster sessions.

Matt Hicks talk @ SGMIn addition we were all very happy to see Dr Matt Hicks present an invited paper on the promising beginnings of the work with Phil Wright in CBE on engineering bacterial protein secretion for purpose in his excellent talk entitled 'By hook or by crook: converting the bacterial flagellum into a protein extrusion conduit'.  Well done Matt.
