Education:

2008-2012: University of Sheffield MBiolSci First Class (Hons) with a year in industry.

2011-2012: Year in industry with a placement in the high-throughput screening group at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

2011: Summer (SGM funded) project with Prof Robert Poole investigating the effects of CORM-1 on E. coli respiration.

2011: Third year lab project with Prof Jeff Green in MBB investigating the WhiB1 protein of M. tuberculosis

2012-present: University of Sheffield. School of Dentistry. PhD student

Current Work

I am currently investigating the molecular mechanisms of human cell interactions with the periodontal pathogen, Porphyromonas gingivalis and its subsequent effects on oral health under the supervision of Dr Graham Stafford, Dr Craig Murdoch and Prof Ian Douglas.

I am a member of the Society of General Microbiology.
